The Tate Family
We are Marc and Heather Tate. We have over 16 years of experience working in lawn care and are a New Kent locally owned family business. We offer year round services for both residential and commercial properties in New Kent, Williamsburg, James City, and Sandston. Tate's Lawn Care offers services with NO contract to sign for homeowners. We come only when you need or call us. We pledge to give your lawn and outdoor projects our best effort. We are not the business that rushes in and out to see how fast we can get the job down or how many cuts can be crammed into a day. The crew will not leave until we are pleased with the work. Paying attention to simple details like edging along a sidewalk or driveway, being sure not to blow debris onto a fresh cut lawn, or striping the grass are what makes us unique. Surprisingly, we are the actual ones on the job performing the work for you (with help of course).

Our Story
This was Marc's dream many years ago to own his own landscaping business. He worked a full time job in the trucking industry and managed to run this as a part time job, building it to what it is today. We now have the pleasure of this being the full time business for both of us. Our boys, Hunter and Mason, were raised working in the family business for many years. Even though they have both moved on to other things, we are lucky to have them come back to help when needed. Heather has now transitioned into handling emails, phone calls, and scheduling, while Marc still continues to enjoy working actively in the field with our crews. We have had the pleasure of building great relationships with our employees, some of which have been with us for many years. We are blessed to have the opportunity to offer our family, and friends we consider family, jobs to help aid them in the transition towards searching for their careers as well.
